DUI Cited in 3-Vehicle Pile-Up
A 74-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he rear-ended a limo that slid into a truck at the intersection of highways 29 and 121, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
Napa police say a 74-year-old motorist showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol following a three-car crash at a busy intersection Saturday afternoon, according to a shift activity log from the :
On 04/14/12 about 1735 hours NPD Officers were dispatched to the area of SR 29/SR 121 regarding an injury accident with three vehicles involved. Upon arrival, Officers learned the suspect, Gordon Lewis, 74 years old of Napa, was heading east on SR 121 approaching SR 29.
Lewis failed to stop behind a limousine that was stopped on SR 121 at SR 29 for a red light. Lewis collided into the rear of the limousine.

The force caused the limousine to collide into a truck which was stopped in front of the limousine. The limousine driver sustained minor injuries, was transported by ambulance to for medical treatment and later released.
The limousine did not have any other passengers in the vehicle. The occupants in the truck were not injured.

While on scene, Officers noticed Lewis displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication.
Lewis was evaluated and determined to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. Lewis was placed under arrest and booked at .
Lewis’s vehicle and the limousine suffered major damage and were towed away, according to police, while "the truck was driven from the scene at the conclusion of the investigation."
