DUI, Child Endangerment Alleged in Napa Man's Arrest

Vincent DeDomenico, 54, was driving under the influence with children in his vehicle and his license had been suspended for a prior DUI, Napa police said. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A tip from another motorist led to the arrest of a 54-year-old Napa man on suspicion of DUI, driving with a suspended license and child endangerment, according to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:

On 11/8/2012 at approximately 1233 hours, a citizen notified Napa Central Dispatch that they were following a DUI driver in a white Chevy Suburban westbound on West Imola Ave. at Coombs St.

The citizen indicated the Suburban was weaving all over the road and was driving in and out of the bike lane. The citizen continued to follow the erratic driven Suburban until an Officer arrived and made a car stop on SR12 at Los Carneros.

The driver was contacted and identified as Vincent DeDomenico (54 yrs. of Napa). DeDomenico was determined to be impaired while driving and was taken into custody.

In the vehicle with DeDomenico were two 14 year old juveniles. Officers also learned that DeDomenico’s driver’s license was suspended for a prior DUI.

DeDomenico was transported and booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections.

As moderator, I'm reminding folks that I ask users to comment using human names, not screen-name handles. It doesn't have to be your full name, but we have a face-to-face comment culture here at Napa Valley Patch that's a little more personal than what you have seen on the regional political threads crossposted here. Thanks for understanding.

I wish Vincent well and hope he gets better soon. It is unfortunate what happened but I have always known Vincent to be a very good person and a wonderful and attentive Father to his son.
