Update: Driver, Injured Cyclists Identified by Napa CHP

Beatrice McIntosh, 67, and Jean Behse, 72, both of Sonoma, were hit by a car driven by a 69-year-old Napa man who entered the bike lane as they rode south on Highway 29, north of St. Helena, Monday afternoon, according to CHP.

Two Sonoma bicyclists suffered moderate to major injuries Monday when they were hit by a car while riding in a bike lane, Napa CHP officers report.

Beatrice McIntosh, 67, and Jean Behse, 72, were hit as they rode south on Highway 29, north of St. Helena, at about 12:40 p.m.

Driver Norman Pierce, 69, of Napa was coming up behind them on the highway, when his 2001 Pontiac went into the bike lane and struck the women, according to the report.

The crash remains under investigation. Officers didn’t believe alcohol was involved.

The women were taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa. McIntosh suffered major injuries and Behse had moderate injuries, according to initial reports.

Why do the Hispanics need their own Chamber Of Commerce? Asians, African-Americans, Caucasians,Read More Indians, and all other races use the same Chamber Of Commerce in unity. The Hispanics are welcome to use it as well. Unless they're promoting their own race above others in the business community. Naw, they wouldn't do anything racist like that, would they?
