Destructive House Fire Kills Dog

Updated: Crews from multiple agencies assisted in the response to the blaze at a home on Green Valley Road this morning.

A house on Green Valley Road in rural Napa has been partially destroyed in a blaze that has left at least one dog dead, according to Napa Patch reporter Robert Peebles, Jr., who was at the scene of the fire this morning. 

The fire was brought under control around 11 a.m., Peebles said.

According to an emergency bulletin from Napa County Fire, multiple agencies are assisting in the fight against the blaze, including Napa City FD, American Canyon FPD, Schell-Vista FPD, St Helena FD.

Deputies from the Napa County Sheriff's Department are also at the scene, Peebles said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the bulletin.
