Deputies Seek Owner of Retrieved Well Pump

Theft, pursuit and a crash in north Napa result in the discovery of some costly equipment believed stolen Upvalley. But whose property is it?

Napa County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for the owner of a Jacuzzi brand, "Sand Handler" model well pump retrieved after a pursuit last week, according to Deputy Jon Thompson, who writes:

Last Thursday NSO Patrol was dispatched to a ranch in Rutherford where the owner witnessed subjects attempting to steal metal from his property. 

Prior to arrival the subjects had fled the area.

NSO Patrol later found the vehicle and apprehended one subject after the suspect vehicle crashed in the Napa area. 

NSO Investigations responded to the scene and found a Jacuzzi brand “Sand Handler” well pump in the vehicle as well as approximately 30 rubber coated brackets.

Based on the investigation they believe that this pump was stolen from the mid-valley area (Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford or north St. Helena). 

NSO Investigations is attempting to locate an owner for the pump.
