Critical Injuries in Hwy 29 Crash
The 6:40 p.m. collision closed the roadway for hours as Napa police investigated the crash, according to the Register.
Highway 29 was closed for several hours Friday night following a 6:40 p.m. collision near Salvador Avenue. Three people were injured, one critically, according to a report on the website.
The announced at about 9:40 p.m. that northbound lanes of the highway had been reopened, but that southbound Highway 29 would remain closed from Oak Knoll to Salvador.
According to the Register report, an SUV flipped and landed on top of a convertible Mitsubishi Eclipse, critically injuring the driver of the Mitsubishi.

The cars came to rest on the railroad tracks, forcing the northbound Wine Train to stop a few hundred yards south of the crash site, according to the Register report.
