Public's Aid Sought in Copper Thefts

The City of Napa is asking residents to be on the lookout for thieves targeting copper wire.

The has recently experienced a copper wire theft on Anselmo Court in the Napa Valley Corporate Park. Thieves cut and removed the copper wires that power the street lights in this area.

In June 2011, copper thieves caused around $25,000 damage to ball field lighting systems in .

Napa residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities that could be signs of copper theft by contacting the at 707-257-9223.
