UPDATE: 7-Year-Old Boy Treated for Concussion, Man Arrested for DUI After 2-Car Crash

CHP releases details from Sunday's accident on Redwood Road.

A 52-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a two-car accident on Redwood Road west of Forest Drive in Napa on Sunday, according to a California Highway Patrol report released Tuesday.

Dan Joseph Stanick, driver of a 1967 Ford Mustang, was taken into custody after the 6:15 p.m. crash into a 2009 Lincoln limousine driven by Kenton Lee Stout, 27, of Napa.

 A 7-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Mustang was injured in the accident and transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where he was treated for a concussion and minor cuts and bruises, the report said.

Stanick also received abrasions to his face. David Kim Jetton, 29, of Napa, a passenger in the limo, complained of pain, the report said
The other limo passenger, Dayna Ann Jetton, 30, of Napa, was uninjured.

According to the report, the limo was traveling westbound on Redwood Road. west of Forest Drive. The driver stopped in the westbound lane and began backing into the adjacent driveway where his passengers reside.

The Mustang was traveling westbound on Redwood Road west of Forest Drive  approaching the limo. The Mustang Vehicle allegedly failed to observe the limo in the westbound lane backing into the driveway, police said.

 As a result, the Mustang failed to take evasive action and struck the left side of the limo with the front end of the Mustang.

The juvenile passenger in the Mustang was seated in the right front seat wearing a lap/shoulder harness seatbelt without a booster seat.

 It was allegedly determined at the scene that Stanick was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.  Stanick was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections.

A child was injured Sunday evening in a crash between a Mustang and a limousine in the 2800 block of Redwood Road in Napa, witnesses said.

A California Highway Patrol spokesman said he had no word yet on the details of the crash as police and firefighters were still at the scene.

A witness said the child's injuries were mild to moderate due to the child's head striking the windshield, but that detail could not immediately be confirmed.
