Cat Dies, House Damaged in Napa Trailer Fire

A house on Montecito Boulevard suffered minor damage after the fire spread from a trailer next door, Napa Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Hall said. No injuries were reported, but a cat was killed, according to the Napa Valley Register

A fire broke out under a trailer parked in an Alta Heights driveway Saturday at about 5:30 p.m., destroying the trailer and a nearby shed and damaging the side of a house next door.

Firefighters from Napa City and CalFire quickly put out the blaze, but a pet cat lost its life and another was missing after the fire, according to a report in the .

Napa Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Hall said the fire in the 400 block of Montecito caused minor damage to the side of the house next door.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A man told the newspaper he had turned on the trailer's air conditioner and gone into the house for a glass of water when flames broke out underneath the vehicle.
