Bus Driver Reports Assault, Man Jailed

A disagreement over a fare led to the alleged incident at the downtown transit station, according to police. Arrest information from the City of Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

A Napa man was jailed Tuesday evening on suspicion of criminal threats and battery after a said he was assaulted, according to a shift activity log from the :

On 03/06/12 about 1910 hours (7:10 p.m.) NPD Officers were dispatched to the Vine Bus Transit Center at 1151 Pearl St. regarding a threats call.

Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect, Stephen Lucero 52 years old of Napa, got into a disagreement with a bus driver over a fare.

The driver alleged that Lucero assaulted him and threatened him with bodily harm during the disagreement.
