An officer noticed a 14 year old juvenile riding his bike without a light near Soscol and Third St. The officer stopped the juvenile for the violation.

During the contact, the officer searched the juvenile, revealing a fixed blade knife concealed in his pocket.
The minor admitted being a gang member and stated he had the knife for protection from the opposing gang.
