Hwy 12 Reopened East of Napa after Big Rig-Motorcycle Crash

Updated 10:55 a.m.: The reports that Highway 12 has reopened after this morning's collision between a big rig and a motorcycle that left the motorcyclist injured.

A Sig-alert has been issued for state Highway 12 near Napa because of a crash involving a motorcycle and a big-rig that prompted the closure of lanes in both directions, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported at 8:57 a.m. just east of Kirkland Ranch Road. The Sig-alert was issued at 9:09 a.m.
As of 9:30 a.m., one eastbound lane and one westbound lane were blocked, according to the CHP.

An ambulance has arrived at the scene of the crash, a CHP officer said.
The CHP is advising motorists to use alternate routes.
