Alleged crimes started when the girl was younger than 10 years old.

A 39-year-old American Canyon man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of multiple crimes related to sexual victimization of his daughter.

According to American Canyon Police Chief Tracey Stuart, Miguel Segura Roman was taken into custody at about 3:15 p.m. at his home in east American Canyon.

According to Stuart, the alleged sexual victimization of his daughter occurred over the course of several years. She was under 10 years old when the abuse began, Stuart said.

The crimes came to light on Nov. 24, after the victim disclosed to her mother what had been happening.
