Grass Fire Spreads Toward Alta Heights

A grass fire that broke out before 2 p.m. is threatening homes on Monte Vista Avenue in Alta Heights, where residents are being evacuated as a precaution, according to the Napa Valley Register.

Aircrraft are dropping fire retardant on a grass fire that has prompted the evacuation of residents in homes on Monte Vista Avenue in Alta Heights, according to an update from the .

The fire broke out before 2 p.m., the newspaper reports.
