Accused Kidnappers, Rapists Arrested

Two of the jailed men are suspected of lewd acts on children, a third of sexual assault on an adult victim in Napa. Arrest information does not indicate convictions.

The ’s Special Investigations Unit has arrested three men in different Bay Area counties, all on suspicion of sex crimes, according to a shift activity log released Monday. 

31-year-old Cristian Mariscal of Vacaville was arrested last week at Travis Air Force Base on suspicion of lewd acts on a child under 14 and obscene matter of a child, according to the log: 

On 4/25/12, at 1138 hours, NPD Investigators arrested S-Mariscal at Travis Air Force Base for the aforementioned charges. Detectives received information that Mariscal had a sexual relationship with a female juvenile over a 3 year period. Evidence from the case identified Mariscal, who is currently working for the U.S. Navy. Special Agents with the Air Force and Navy assisted in locating and detaining Mariscal who was turned over to the Napa Police Department. He was arrested and booked at . A search warrant was served at Mariscal’s residence in Vacaville where additional evidence was located.

Orlando Montero, also known as Orlando Domingo, 32, was arrested Friday at his Livermore home on charges of kidnapping, lewd acts with a child under 14, oral copulation with a child under 14 and false imprisonment, according to the log:

On 4/27/12, at 1700 hours, NPD Investigators arrested S-Montero at his residence in the 100 block of Western Ave. in Livermore. On 3/17/12, Detectives investigated a reported kidnapping and sexual assault of a 14 year old female. Evidence from the case identified Montero as the suspect. Special Agents from the California Department of Justice and Livermore PD assisted with locating Montero at his residence. The Napa Police Department took custody of Montero and booked him at NCDC.

Saturday afternoon, police arrested 55-year-old Edward Griffin Duree of Fairfield on suspicion of false imprisonment, assault with intent to commit sexual assault, sexual penetration with force, robbery and domestic battery, according to the log:

On 4/28/12, at 1400 Hours, NPD Officers arrested S-Duree at his residence in the 1900 block of Larchmont Circle in Fairfield. In the early morning of 4/28/12, Duree illegally entered a residence in the City of Napa. Duree got into an argument with the Victim, pinned her down against a bed against her will and forcibly penetrated the Victim with a foreign object. Duree took the Victim’s cell phone and fled the scene. Fairfield PD Officers contacted Duree at his residence where he was taken into custody and later turned over to the Napa Police Department. He was arrested and booked at NCDC.
