Accused Thief Resists Repeat Arrest

He threatened a store clerk and struggled with arresting officers as bystanders helped to restrain him, according to this police report. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A 63-year-old Napa man who was recently released on bail after a felony arrest was jailed again Monday, according to a shift activity log released by the .

Shortly before 3 p.m., according to the log, 

NPD Officers were dispatched to a report of a subject causing a disturbance at the at 344 Brown St.

Upon arrival Albert Lee Hill (11/8/49) of Napa was identified as the suspect. It was alleged by store employees that Hill had stolen items from the store on a prior occasion and was told not to return.

This afternoon he returned to the store and employees told him to leave.

Hill attempted to strike an employee with a metal can, and he was detaineduntil the police arrived.

With evidence supporting the allegations, the responding NPD Officer attempted to take Hill into custody and he resisted arrest.

After a brief struggle he was taken into custody with the assistance of bystanders in the store.

Hill was recently released from jail on bail for a prior felony charge.

Hill was booked into the on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, trespassing, petty theft, resisting arrest and commtting a felony while on bail, police said.

Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
