Accused Napa Murderer Appears in Court

Charged with stabbing her boyfriend Callie Evans to death in his Euclid Avenue home, Robyn Gevas did not enter a plea in her first court date Friday. She is due back in court July 27, according to the Napa Valley Register.

 

The 36-year-old woman her boyfriend after an alcohol-fueled argument flared into violence Wednesday night made her first appearance in court Friday, according to a report in the .

The newspaper reports that Robyn Gevas did not enter a plea and that Napa County Superior Court Judge Mark Boessenecker appointed a public defender for her.

Gevas was arrested early Thursday morning after her 62-year-old boyfriend Callie Evans died at .

Police said Gevas stabbed Evans multiple times in a domestic dispute Wednesday night.

The Register reports that court documents state the couple had been drinking alcohol in Evans' Euclid Avenue home when they began arguing.

Gevas is due back in court July 27, the newspaper reports.
