A Drive Through Downtown Napa Lands Napa Man in Jail

Police arrest a Napa man on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance after pulling him over for driving with his music too loud

A Napa man went to jail Friday afternoon after taking a drive in Downtown Napa with his music cranked up.

Police arrested Amir Boutte on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance Friday at 1:52 p.m.

A Napa Police officer spotted Boutte driving his vehicle in the area of Main and Third streets and made a vehicle stop because Boutee was playing his music too loud on the roadway according to the Napa Police Department.

The officer discovered that Boutte had been released on his own recognizance from a previous offense. Boutte was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the vehicle stop and he was taken into custody according to police.
