5 Arrested for DUI on Outstanding Warrants

Napa-area law enforcement does DUI warrant sweep on Sunday.

Five people were arrested Sunday during an outstanding DUI warrant service operation by Napa County Law Enforcement officers.

Two Napa Police officers worked this operation from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

During the operation, the officers attempted to serve 13 outstanding warrants for DUI that were recently issued. As a result, five people were arrested on those warrants.

One of the five individuals, Javier Vasquez, 31,  of Napa, was arrested for a misdemeanor DUI warrant in the 1700 block of G Street in Napa. He also had a felony domestic violence-related warrant.

Vasquez and the other four individuals were arrested and booked at Napa County Department of Corrections.

The officers were participating in the AVOID the 9, which is a grant-funded by The California Office of Traffic Safety.

California Office of Traffic Safety issued a grant for the program through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
