Firefighters, paramedics and police are at the scene of a two-car accident tonight on Socscol Avenue at Imola Avenue near the Best Western hotel in Napa.

Witnesses said at least two Napa City Fire Department engine units were at the scene and three ambulances. There were some reports that four people received minor to major injuries.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a Toyota pickup truck, was in the process of being arrested on suspicion of DUI, Napa Police told witnesses who said the man was in handcuffs. The other car was a Chevy Impala.

An 11-year-old girl was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, a witness said.

Witnesses also reported that at least one car -- the Toyota pickup -- had jumped the curb and was on the lawn of the Best Western.

The accident occurred sometime close to 7 p.m. Sunday, although officials were not immediately available to confirm the time.

Northbound Soscol is closed to traffic at Imola, witnesses said. Also, southbound Soscol is down to one lane of traffic.
