UPDATE: Vegetation Fire In Southeast Napa County Contained to 9 Acres


UPDATED: Friday, May 30, 6:10 p.m.

The vegetation fire on Gordon Valley Rd has been contained to 9 acres, according to the Napa County fire Department at 6 p.m.

The grass and woodland fire in the area of Oak Springs Drive, Gordon Valley Road and Grandview Road south of Lake Curry east of Napa was reported at 2:10 p.m., Cal Fire spokesman Louis Kalow said earlier.

There are a few homes in that rural area but evacuations were not ordered, Kalow said.

Sixty firefighters from Cal Fire, the Napa County Fire Department and Suisun City responded, Kalow said.

Cal Fire is at the scene of a 3-acre grass fire burning in southeast Napa County this afternoon.

The grass and woodland fire in the area of Oak Springs Drive, Gordon Valley Road and Grandview Road south of Lake Curry east of Napa was reported at 2:10 p.m., Cal Fire dispatcher Louis Carr said.

There are a few homes in that rural area but evacuations have not yet been ordered, Carr said.

Firefighters from the Napa County Fire Department and Suisun City also have responded, Carr said.
