3 Arrested During Cinco de Mayo DUI Crackdown

Avoid the 9 Napa DUI task force took place last night.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving during
a Cinco de Mayo DUI crackdown in Napa County, police said.

The operation, part of the AVOID the 9 campaign funded by the state's Office of Traffic Safety, was carried out between 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. today, Napa police said.

During the crackdown, 74 drivers were stopped in various cities throughout the county. Twelve of those drivers were evaluated and three were arrested for DUI-related violations, police said.

Two other drivers were found to be driving on a suspended license, and had their cars impounded, according to police.
