Three suspects were arrested in possession with a pound of crystal methamphetamine Thursday evening in Napa, according to a police lieutenant.

At about 7:30 p.m., a covert drug investigation culminated in the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of about one pound of meth in the 200 block of Soscol Avenue in Napa, according to Napa Special Investigations Bureau (NSIB) Lt. Gary Pitkin.

The NSIB agents, along with officers from the California Highway Patrol, made contact with the three suspects in a commercial parking lot.

A search of the suspects' two vehicles resulted in the seizure of about one pound of meth and $1,400 in drug proceeds.

The meth was estimated to have a wholesale value of $8,000 and would have yielded about 4,500 doses, Pitkin said.

The NSIB arrested Toni Tinajero Sanchez, 37, a resident of Lodi, Cruz Tinajero Velazquez, 33, a transient from Lodi and Enrique Rocha, 26, a Stockton resident, for possession of a controlled substance for sale and conspiracy.

All three suspects were transported and booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections.

Residents with information or complaints related to illicit drug use, sales, cultivation or manufacturing are encouraged to call NSIB at (707) 253-4458 or the NSIB drug hotline at (707) 224-3784.
