2 Women Fight, 1 Arrested by Napa Police

Police said suspect and victim argued over dinner plans.

A 47-year-old Napa woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence with minor injury after an alleged fight with another woman.

Karen Diane Howell was taken into custody at about 9 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 2700 block of Utah Street in Napa.

Officers were dispatched to physical fight between two women at 2778 Utah St. Officers arrived and contacted Karen Howell and the victim, police said.

It was alleged by the victim that Howell was upset with her because the victim was not home in time for dinner.

An argument ensued between the two.

Howell became violent and shoved the victim to the ground and then got on top of her and began to strangle her. The victim was able to free herself and left the residence until police arrived.

The victim sustained visible injury that did not require immediate medical attention.

Howell was arrested and booked.
