2 Held in Connection with 5 Car Break-ins

Two Napans were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of being connected to up to five car break-ins in the 1600 block of Pueblo Avenue.

Erick Hernandez and Yessica Sanchez, both 19, were booked into Napa County Department of Corrections after police took them into custody Wednesday evening.

Police responded to a report at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday that two subjects in the 1600 Block of Pueblo Avenue were possibly breaking into vehicles.

When officers arrived, they discovered at least five cars on the street had either been broken into or tampered with.

Yessica Sanchez and Erick Hernandez, both of Napa, were contacted near the scene and evidence was developed allegedly linking them to the crimes, police said.

Sanchez initially provided a false name to officers but her true identity was confirmed, police said. They were arrested and booked into NCDC.
