ORIGINAL STORY: 10:44 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013.

Napa Police are investigating a reported death at a home at 970 Chelebrooke Court off Terrace Drive in south Napa.

Napa Police Capt. Jeff Troendly, who is spokesman on the incident, was not immediately available for comment to confirm death reports by witnesses.

However, Napa County Sheriff's Capt. Leroy Anderson confirmed that an incident was in progress on Chelebrooke Court this morning. He referred all calls to Napa Police.

Napa City Fire Capt. Jim Cortese said his department was called out to the home on a medical emergency at 8:54 a.m., but the fire engine was cancelled at the scene, he said.

"I don't have any information," Cortese said. "It's a police matter; it's under investigation."

Witnesses said the Napa County Major Crimes Task Force has been called in to investigate, but that report has not been confirmed. If the task force has been called, that would indicate a possible suspicious death.

Napa County Major Crimes Task Force is comprised of the Napa Police Department, Napa County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol and the Napa County District Attorney’s Office.
