Reader Writes: Stop Justin Siena High's Plans for Traffic Congestion & Alcohol Sales on (Catholic) H.S. Campus

Please visit www.stopjustinsiena.com and sign the petition to the Napa City Council demanding that they vote NO to the school's plans to turn sports fields located in an established residential neighborhood into a high traffic-generating commercial center on Solano Avenue in Napa!
The proposed shopping center will create horrendous traffic on the already congested intersections of Trower/Solano/Wine Country/Hwy 29, and will allow for alcohol and tobacco to be sold on a (Catholic) high school campus.
Furthermore, the proposed project will result in a net loss of jobs and sales tax revenue for the city.
The current OSH in the Bel Aire shopping center would be moving to this proposed location, and the proposed Sprouts grocery store will essentially put one or two major grocers in the area out of business.

And the reason the school supposedly needs this intrusive, quality of life killing project to go through?
So that they can provide partial scholarships to a 100 or so students, who could just as easily be helped via fundraising (like the $2 million the school raised to build their sports fields), or by considering a more appropriate alternative for the quasi-public and residential zoned parcel-like housing or office space, for example.
