The real estate developer behind the Napa Crossing North shopping center is seeking to create another retail center at Soscol and Kansas avenues in south Napa, according to Napa City Senior Planner Kevin Eberle.

Plans show five small retail businesses in the future shopping center. Which stores would you like to see at this location? Tell us in the comments or email napavalley@patch.com.

Pacific Properties in Chico has submitted plans to build a center for small retail businesses at the soon-to-be-vacant site of Napa Ford.

The shopping center at the corner of Kansas and Soscol avenues will be called Napa Crossing South, Eberle said.

“The buildings will be similar to what is at Napa Crossing North.” he said. “At this time we don’t know what retail stores will occupy the center.”

Formerly a weed- and trash-ridden vacant lot at Trancas Street and California Boulevard, Napa Crossing North is now a bustling hub where Panera Bread and ULTA Beauty recently opened near Chipotle and Habit Burger. Sleep Train, Verizon, Vitamin Shoppe and Walgreens are also part of the north Napa mix.

The plan for Napa Crossing South shows five tenants in two buildings, Eberle said. “The smaller building will house one tenant and the larger will have four retailers.”

To serve customers, 333 parking places are planned; any exact timeframe for when construction will start and be completed is not known.
