Community Shout-Outs: What's Going Right?

What's the good word? Share your positive news and views in our weekly forum.

We all read and see a lot of negative news every day. Napa Patch even has a weekly Sound Off feature where you can rant about what's bothering you.

But there's also one place every week that is devoted to only the good stuff:  on Napa Patch.

Here's where you can share the positive news about what's going well, who's doing good things and what makes you happy.

Did somebody make you smile today? Tell us in the comments!

Are you glad to see an improvement? Let us know!

Is there a local band whose music you love? Share your enthusiasm (and don't forget to make sure their gigs are listed in our free events calendar)!

Last week, our shout-outs even included a tender and joyful tribute by one reader to her late grandmother: Denise Mortimore wrote Saturday,

My grandmother passed away yesterday but today I'm reminded how lucky I am! She lived 94 glorious years! She had two amazing children, 4 amazing grand children and 8 beautiful great grandchildren! I'm so blessed to have had her in my life for 37 years and for THAT I am happy! I'm overjoyed to know she's dancing with my grandpa in heaven...something she couldn't wait to be able to do again!

What are you happy about today? Here's the place to share your good spirits.

Do you subscribe to the Napa Patch newsletter? It brings our latest stories, blogs, announcements and the day's calendar events to your in-box early each morning. If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so by clicking here.

A jazz shout-out to all the great musicians who performed at the Opera House last night! Three outstanding bands including Jazz at 7, the Napa Valley College Jazz Ensemble and amazing headliners the Ronchin Jazz Band from France. How glorious to hear a really good big band play Mingus, and how perfect that they opened with "Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting"! Thank you to the Napa Valley Jazz Society and the Opera House for putting this on.
