Ray Grafton, of Napa, Dies at 78

Long-time Napa Resident Ray Grafton died Thursday, Feb. 6 at home.

Grafton retired from Pacific Bell in 1993 after 37 years of service, according to the Napa Valley Register. "He is known as one of the hardest workers and best providers for his family. He is an award-winning dad... and one of the greatest of people that you could have had the good fortune to know."

He is survived by his wife, Ginger; two sons and their spouses, Mike and Rainy Grafton, and Patrick and Sabrina Grafton; daughter and spouse, Kim and Nick Cavanaugh; four grandchildren, Matthew Grafton, Richard Bailey, Amanda Grafton, and Clare Cavanaugh; and two great-grandchildren, Shelby and Carly. 

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Napa, Doctors Without Borders, Napa Emergency Women’s Services, Napa Valley Hospice, Smile Train and Southern Poverty Law Center.
