OBITUARY: Susan Elizabeth Edwards Powell

Memorial services are noon, March 9, at American Canyon Community Church.

Susan Elizabeth Edwards Powell became our angel on February 25, 2013 surrounded by her loving family in her family home. Susan was born January 16, 1962 to the late Amanda and Paul Edwards of Napa.

Sue was a loving mother to her daughter Christina Edwards, step daughters Vanessa Cook Visino and Jennie Powell Sotelo and step son Joshua Cook. She is survived by her children, her sister Diane Shibley and husband Dave, niece and nephew Mary Sue and Fred Thomason; brother Douglas Edwards and wife Shelley, niece Brandi Alexander, husband Kevin with Eli and Emma, nephews Doug Edwards and wife Raquel with McKensie, and Jacob Edwards.

She is also survived by sister in law Suzie Edwards and nephews Brandon Edwards and wife Nicole and Trevor Edwards; Aunt Margie and Uncle Robert Burke, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Gene Lins, Uncle Ray and Aunt Joyce. She is survived by many friends, including George, Yvonne and William Scott.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, her brother Paul David Edwards, husband Kip Powell, ex-husband and friend John Cook, brother in law Fred Thomason and many friends who left us too soon.

Susan dedicated her life to her family and her good friends, she was sweetest, gentlest person we've ever known and she will be missed. Susan was a supporter of the American Cancer Society and asked that donations be directed to "Sue's Angels", Relay For Life team in American Canyon, CA so that the hard work will continue.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at noon at the American Canyon Community Church, 2 Andrew Road, American Canyon.
