NVOS artist Nick Cann creates line work in pen and ink, inspired by architecture and whimsy. What does he like to draw? In his own words, "anything and everything that I can capture in line. Detail is most interesting to me."
Some of Nick's noteworthy designs include sets for Ann-Margaret, Diana Ross, and Gene Wilder. He also created costume renderings for Michael Jackson and Kathleen Turner.
Nick Cann, with a monotype fresh from the pressHis career began at MGM Studios in Culver City, creating set designs. Sets are still a part of his life – this year, Nick will complete a four-year project for the design of The Nutcracker ballet set, for the 25th Anniversary of the Stapleton Ballet at the Marin Civic Center.
