NVOS landscape painter and monotype artist, Joann Ortega

By NVOS artist Davina Rubin

NVOS artist Joann Ortega
creates “...with quiet passion, looking for the essence of what the endeavor allows me to say.”  She is inspired by life and nature, light and darkness.

After moving to the Napa Valley 40 years ago, Joann began to evolve her artistic nature to include painting in the beauty of the land, then on to pulling prints (monotypes) from her mind and heart.

Joann has won many awards for her work.   A visit to her studio will give visitors the opportunity to see a print studio and print press, a design studio, and prints and  landscapes.  She lives in a vintage 1875 house.

You'll find Joann and her artwork at Studio #40, 1735 Spring Street, in St. Helena, California.

Artist, writer and actress Davina Rubin uses acrylics and mixed media to create abstract works on both canvas and paper.  She paints in her small loft in Napa, and writes a philosophic blog atwww.davinarubin.com. You can also see some of her artwork at www.davinarubinart.weebly.com, and you can visit her at Studio # 42 during Napa Valley Open Studios.
