NVOS artist Russ Charpentier has been illustrating for national and international clients in Old World styles for the past twenty-five years. His clients have ranged from the Cunard Lines to National Geographic, to major publishers featuring acclaimed authors such as Terry Brooks (Star Wars), whose Shannara Fantasy Series features Russ's lavishly rendered maps.
Now living in California's Napa Valley, Russ has focused his talents on what has always been nearest and dearest to his heart: maps, botanicals, and architectural renderings done in the Old World master's style. These modern day antiques create a visual link between our harried times and a simpler, more nostalgic era and the Golden Age of Discovery.
Russ is pleased to make these prints available to the public, with the hope that they will give the viewer as much pleasure in viewing as the artist had in creating them. He also does commission work.
