THE ULTIMATE NATIONAL HOLIDAY

Firstly, we would like to thank our loyal readership for making us first, and keeping us first.  Gracias.   Coming soon to Face Book:  The King Jarvis Journal.                                                Wow, have we come a long way from " Up With People " as Super Bowl half time acts long  go.  .  Hawaii born and raised Bruno Mars should put on a fabulous show, likely in the snow, in New Jersey,  Sunday next.  His dancing and choreography is some of the greatest that we have seen since the old Busby Berkley, or Marge and Gower Champion productions.  This kid is a hoofer.                NFL commissioner Roger Godell could go from hero  to zero if the elements at the big game interfere greatly with the action on the field.  NBC plans to showcase it's new " Thermo Cams ", capable of documenting the core temperatures of the athletes and the weather's impact on their performance.                                          We wonder what if any effect descending from the mile high atmosphere in Denver has on the Bronco's lung capacity or other vital organs. Wonder if one week is enough time to acclimate the human body to sea level environs.  We'll see.                                        Manning has another chance to improve his odds of obtaining victory in cold weather, and Wilson, Russell, could use those baseball catcher's mitt size hands of his to better grip the pig skin on our real national holiday.  By the way, the NFL offices in New York  "may" hold the keys to chaos if they decide to move the Super Bowl to a week day.  Can you imagine our productivity levels?  Snow day, sick day,  anything but work day.  Nuff said.                                                                Folks are trying to figure out why the attendance  at NFL games has been in decline over the  last few years.  We surmise that the introduction of 70 inch plus TV's into the average household has a lot to do with it.  We get to see so much, and so much up close and clear nowadays, that the onsite experience is often foreclosed on by gathering the friends, and not strangers, to enjoy an event on the big screen.  This is exactly the reason why Jerry Jones met with so much success with his humongous  80 yard TV screens  at his stadium.  He knew to semi replicate the home environment. Enjoy the game!!   HRM
