THE UKRAINIAN CONFLICT

Imagine if Russian troops invaded  Guantanamo Bay.  Or the Panama  Canal Zone.  What if American Samoa were attacked on a directive from Moscow.                    In that situation, we would be compelled, obviously, to remove the cancerous cells, and maybe then some.  That is the analogy that we put forth vis a vis the conflict in The Ukraine.  Forces allegedly supported by U.S. operatives in the region apparently intended to entice the people of that area to accept IMF aid.   Putin and company offered The Ukraine government fifteen billion dollars to shore up her economy.   Then it all went sideways.            Elements that Moscow believed were backed by the US overthrew the pro Russian government in Kiev, and imbedded a pro western regime.  Putin, rightfully so, would have nothing of it.  Harken back to our analogy.            Putin apparently, was mirroring Western tactics, by removing all motherland insignia from the uniforms, vehicles, and materiel of the troops who recaptured The Crimea.  Putin's people also gleaned pointers from the Manual Noriega siege in Panama a few decades ago, by using acoustics as a major fear factor.  The US Army Signal Corp offshoot employed stadium sized amplifiers to disrupt the sleep patterns of Noriega during his stay at the Catholic refuge at that time.                                A gaggle of Russian tanks have been loudly practicing maneuvers  within earshot of the Ukrainian  populus for the past few weeks, according to our sources.                    If we walk a mile in Putin's  moccasins, we are sure that we would respond to the regional irritant in the same way.  All is fair in war love and war, it is said,  and America loves to go to war.    HRM
