SHERMAN TANKED

Let's not be cute, let's not be clever.  What happened right after the Niner Sea Hawk game and the drama that it generated, is either the  result of a slow sports news cycle, much ado about nothing, or a classic case of someone not adhering to the old adage that folks should create as much mental and physical distance from their place of employment as is humanly possible after hours.                                                Football is the number one sport in America beacuse we love to see these warriors legally inflict violence upon one another in a skillful and entertaining way.  Acquired or inherent human nature.  Gladiators.  Ar least folks aren't getting eaten alive.                  Imagine  the mental toughness and physical sacrifice that goes into securing an income for your family by chancing never being able to raise your arms or your kids over your head upon retirement.   Former Viking Robert Smith and many other NFL'ers have alluded to this having hung  up their cleats.                                              Sherman got caught up in a trick bag, some of his own making and some by our expectations and perceived ideas of what is proper form.  Many pro and collegiate coaches desire to get their players into the locker room immediately, immediately, after an event. Adrenalin  and the warrior mentality dictates that, as well as common sense.  Should we have expected anything different from a man in the moment?   It really does take all kinds.  None of us react in the same way. That is what makes life grand.                        Hypocritically, we laud and lather the quarterbacks, spout out their fabulous individual statistics, and any alien coming to this planet would think that  QB's did the entire amount of work of the 53 man squad.   However, when a wide receiver does a silly touchdown dance in the end zone, we  poo poo that as singular show boating.  COME ON MAN!!!!!!! COMING SOON:  THE KING JARVIS JOURNAL on Face Book.   HRM
