Questions 67 and 68...........

As we rapidly approach the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, we should revisit some of the reasonable explanations and truths put forth by the federal government.

Our belief is that America has been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder since Nov. 22, 1963. We have all been prescribed increasing levels of long-wearing, yet overused, doses of distraction and entertainment.

After a hard day’s work and the daily realities we have to contend with, folks have diligently taken the medications issued to them in easy-to-swallow pap offered by our government and certain members of the media on a daily basis.

Our coping mechanisms have risen to the point where we honestly believe that the John F. Kennedy assassination was the result of a conspiracy, yet we have been put into a straightjacket so we can do  nothing about it.

This applies to many recent events. Neatly closeted in the back of our minds (we believe), are questions as to why, for instance, there were no ambulances allowed at the scene of the alleged slayings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and what became of the men who were photographed in the woods adjacent to the school in camouflage?

We are allowed to see the multitude of pictures of dead bodies in Syria and such, yet not the images of any injured or deceased persons from the Sandy Hook incident, nor any from the alleged Washington Navy Shipyard tragedy; not to mention the CCTV footage of the younger Tsarnaev brother placing a backpack at the Boston Marathon site — the same backpack that we were shown in a picture of  him carrying away from the area post-bombing.

How did the elder brother go from being handcuffed, naked and in custody, to being shot and killed? How? He was “Dornered,” as many of these characters have been.

More recently, it took the BBC to broadcast the fact that the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) personnel, who were at the scene almost instantly after the first shots were allegedly fired at the Washington Navy Shipyard, were told to stand down, in no uncertain terms.

The matter is said to be under review, with the results forthcoming next month — many moons and news cycles from now — given the nature of our collective, over-medicated national psyche.

Finally, we would like to know what became of the alleged second gunman in the District of Columbia. And how was Alexis, according to those who knew him, suffering from financial hardship, yet still able to stay at a Residence Inn for the better part of a month, allegedly? He must have used his credit card or rainy-day savings.  Sure...............  HRM King Jarvis IV
