Aria By Arias: The Devilish Diva

A brief summation of the Arizona versus Arias death penalty case.

What a solo act,  Jodi Arias there on the stand by her lonesome, belting out the blues that could be her swan song, and lead to her ultimate, state sponsored demise.   She's winging it, daily, all alone, defense counsel unable to accompany her, her mom and aunt in the gallery unable to accompany her, and certainly none of the jury panel being able to help her.

She can't even help herself, droning on and on, weaving a black widow's web that is entangling her in a self imposed bit of oratorial treason that her designated peers are apparently not willing to believe.

This slight little woman, who admittedly took down this mini mountain of a man, is doing what we used to refer to as:  The Flo' Sho',  putting on a " floor show ", as it were, and seeming to relish relating even the most trivial of every day occurences, with a flair for the dramatic.                                                Jodi

Arias.  Jodi Arias.  At once Anglo, and Latino, in name as well as soul.  It is easy to see that Jodi's Anglo mom overrode her Hispanic dad in the decision to lay the ground work for  CULTURAL CONFUSION by giving this girl a name that reflects her dual identity.  Some sort of predestined, unintentional, MATERNAL IDENTITY THEFT, that haunts Jodi, with an " I ", to this day.  Maybe.

Many a professional comic has cut his teeth delivering jokes about hot Latinas knifing thier lovers, and maybe that was the case with Arias vs. Alexander.  However, this girl was an " Off Brand ", both Latino and Anglo, and as is noted by the latest U.S. Census Bureau data, Latino youth have a relatively high rate of folks who do not finish high school, as was the case with the incredibly cerebral Jodi Arias.

It is truly amazing that someone with her vocabulary, her situational vocabulary, did not finish high school, and only recently received her GED in the jail house.  All in all, this is a sad, sad case on the docket.  HRM
