50 years ago Friday

Huntington, Long Island: junior Social Studies; 1:45 P.M. Principal on PA: president had been killed. Class erupts, screams, tears, horror. Many had worked JFK's campaign, looking forward to our first vote the next time. School ended early.  Family TV played 3 days straight. More than any other image, I remember all the blood on Jackie's pink suit.
