Local Philanthropist & Meritage CEO Will Be Grand Marshall of 2014 Napa 4th of July Parade

Napa Sunrise Rotary has selected Tim Busch, CEO of The Meritage Resort and Spa, to be Grand Marshall of the 2014 Napa 4th of July Parade.

Tim and his wife of 28 years, Steph Busch, have invested in Napa with their resort, as well as starting a winery, Trinitas Cellars, and establishing the Trinitas Philanthropy Association and Charity Program. 

“Giving, going, doing and serving is the core of Napa Sunrise Rotary and Tim and Steph Busch live and work by that philosophy," said Doris Gentry, Sunrise Rotary Parade Chair. "At Trinitas Cellars, Tim and Steph Busch balance their resources to grow their business, benefit the community, and honor and serve God in all they do."

Riding in the parade car with Tim and Steph will be Busch family: son Garrett Busch, CEO of Trinitas Cellars and his fiancé, Betsy O’Neill; daughter Kenzie Busch of the Pacific Hospitality Group and her fiancé, Collin Vath; and Tim’s parents, Joe and Marcheta Busch.

And who is Tim Busch?:

Tim Busch, a practicing attorney for the past 34 years and founder of The Busch Firm, is also founder and CEO of Pacific Hospitality Group, LLC a hotel development and management company which owns and manages seven hotels.

(Hotels include the Doubletree Hotel at Irvine Spectrum, the Doubletree Hotel Santa Ana/Orange County Airport, the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim, The Meritage Resort and Spa, the Estancia La Jolla, the Balboa Bay Club and Resort, and the newly acquired Bacara Resort and Spa.) 

His original business is Busch’s Markets, a 15-store specialty grocery store, which is the largest independently-owned grocery chain in Michigan. 

Tim and his wife, Steph are extensively involved in Catholic organizations and charities, including Legatus, an organization for Catholic CEOs and their spouses. In both 1994 and 2009, Legatus named him Ambassador of the Year and, in 2005, Founder, one of four in the organization of over 2000 CEOs. 

Tim also serves on boards for The Catholic University of America founded in 1854, California Patrons of the Vatican Arts, the Papal Foundation, The Bishop of Orange’s Finance Council and the Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame. 

Tim is a co-founder of the Magis Institute with Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J. Magis sponsors spiritual ministries, including retreats, prayer breakfasts, the Reason and Faith Center and Family Legacy Forum. 

In 2010, Tim was given the “First Leadership Award” by Magis Institute and Fr. Robert Spitzer. In 2011, Tim Busch and Fr. Robert J. Spitzer co-founded the Napa Institute which is an annual intellectual apostolic conference preparing Catholics for the Next America.
