2-In-1 Holiday Show at Napa Valley Performing Arts Center

Cult drag classic "Christmas With the Crawfords," and "Well Strung" guy band double-billed both nights, Dec. 6 and 7. (Half-price tickets online until Dec. 2)

Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater will host two days of two performances per night -- all wrapped up into one.

The main ticket is "Christmas With the Crawfords," a modern, classic, retro, musical-in-drag show. It is preceded by a show-opening party featuring an classical-pop music quartet, "Well Strung."

Both performances air on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7 at the theater in Yountville. "Well Strung" plays at 5:30 p.m. both nights; "Christmas With the Crawfords" plays at 7 p.m. both nights.

The two shows will be performing in tandem under the direction of New York Director Donna Drake. Drake is an award-winning director and writer who was in the original Broadway casts of shows such as “A Chorus Line,” “Sophisticated Ladies” and “Woman of the Year.”

The 20th Anniversary production “Christmas with the Crawfords,” features a mostly-in-drag, dysfunctional family and cult musical classic. It is a hilarious n take on the Golden Age of Hollywood with characters such as Joan Crawford and family, Judy Garland, Bette Davis and Ethel Merman on the main Lincoln Theater stage.

“‘Christmas with the Crawfords’ is also known as ‘Mommie Dearest, the Musical with a Holiday Theme,’”  said Laura Rafaty, Producing Director at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater

The hot, hunky boys of “Well Strung” form a classical string and vocal quartet that puts their own spin on musical mash-ups of artists such as Mozart, Vivaldi, Rihanna, Adele, Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga,

“They’re the hottest things with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games,” wrote the NY Daily News.

“Well-Strung” features first violinist Edmund Bagnell, second violinist Christopher Marchant, cellist Daniel Shevlin and violist Trevor Wadleigh. This New York-based all-male musical group will be making their Napa Valley debut on the heels of a series of sold-out and critically-acclaimed engagements.
