A long-time tradition for Napa Valley families continues this weekend at the  annual Gifts 'n Tyme Craft Faire at the Napa Valley Expo.

Hundreds of people came searching Saturday for something special for the holiday season.

In addition to dozens of craft booths, there was something for just about everyone except for power tools.

Baked goods, decorated candy apples, Christmas tree ornaments, jewelery, wood toys, ballerina dresses, scarfs, unique belt buckles, clothing, jams and honey, wreaths along with hundreds of other hand-crafted items were on display.

Many brought children on the shopping trek to the delight of children seeing lots of things they wanted just like in the grocery store. One girl about 8 years old said to her mom as they were leaving toting several bags from shopping "that was fun."

There were several three generations families usually grandma, daughter and granddaughter cruising the isles at the packed Napa Expo building. Also many caught up with old friends at the Faire.

There is also a kitchen with salads, soups, tamales, hot dogs and many other items available.

The Craft Faire continues through Sunday and there is no admission charge.

The main parking lot is usually packed but there is plenty of extra parking in the dirt parking lot located beyond the main parking lot after entering the main gate on Third Street in Napa.
