A New Wine Event is Born: 'CabFestNV'

Event will be March 1 and 2 at Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater in Yountville.

More Than 100 of Napa Valley’s top wineries will come together for the first annual Cabernet Festival, “CabFestNV” March 1 & 2.

The event, presented by the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater, will also include a pre-festival concert, Cigars & Guitarson Feb. 28.

The live concert also includes a post-show cigar party and a showing of classic guitars at the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.

CabFestNV is designed to appeal to the novice and the expert. Through current and library tastings, wine, food and chocolate pairings, educational lectures and culinary demonstrations (with the best chefs in the world in our back yard), CabFestNV will explore the many facets of Cabernet’s complexity and mystique.

But there is much more to CabFestNV than just enhancing the appreciation and appeal of Cabernet Sauvignon.

CabFestNV is out to also prove that seriously good wine needn’t take itself too seriously…which means the weekend will also be laced with music from rock to classical, plus VIP events and extraordinary festivities.

“It’s going to be an amazing weekend spotlighting the best of everything that the Napa Valley has to offer,” said Michael Madden, Executive Director, Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater.

Marking its first anniversary, Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater has become a premier performing arts venue in the Napa Valley as well as a leading provider of arts education and outreach.

Napa Valley Performing Arts Center is home to a 1,200-seat state-of-the-art performance venue that recently completed a $22M renovation.

The theater offers a wide variety of year-round performances featuring community and educational programming and world-class entertainment, including its resident Symphony Napa Valley.
