With the recent death of her family, including her grandfather, along with her house being blown up by a group of rogue scientists, Ali Bell feels like her life has literally been torn apart.

Nevertheless, when a zombie attack turns on her and her fellow slayers, a normal bite turns out to be more than her body can handle, spiraling her into the dark world creating madness. Causing her to live in an altered, wicked, wonderland, trapped within her own mind.  A world where mirrors act as looking glasses, reflecting the evil within your soul, and where the dead start to whisper amongst you.

Ali soon realizes that the only ones she can turn to are her fellow zombie slayers.  However, strange changes have started to turn on them as well, and just when she needs them most, she finds herself utterly alone. Ripping her life in two halves, Ali the zombie slayer, verses Ali trying to be a regular high school girl.

But one girl can't live divided by two worlds and soon Ali discovers the consequences of living a slayers life. Tearing her literally in two, Ali must decide if she should succumb to the zombie side of her mind, or fight for the side of her that is still good.

Once again, Ali finds her life hanging in the balance as she has to decide in which world she is supposed to live. A world with the zombie slayers who have turned their backs on her, or a world fighting zombies on her own.

True to a slayers heart, Ali isn’t able to stay away for long, as the zombies still find a way to force themselves in her path. This causes the withdrawn slayers to rejoin Ali in the fight, unlocking the secrets that can doom them all.

Through the Zombie Glass doesn’t miss a beat from where Alice in Zombieland left off, throwing you headfirst into a world of teenage angst, jealously, love and revenge. Kat, Cole, Reeve and even Ali’s sister Emma, hold their own place throughout the book and delve deeper into each of their characters, while Cole continues to tear into Ali’s heart as well as yours. Highlighting a relationship that is riddled with flaws, but one you also just can’t break away from.

While set for an older young adult audience, Gena Showalter knows how to grab onto your heart and not let it go, creating an emotionally charged rollercoaster ride filled with heart wrenching romance.
