The “Swing For Sight” event, with hole-in-one prize

provide patient services for those who are financially devastated by an ocular
melanoma diagnosis.

Ocular melanoma (OM) is the most common primary
cancer of the eye in adults. Yet, it is still an extremely rare cancer with
approximately 2,500 adults diagnosed every year in the United States. Half of
those diagnosed will see their disease spread to other parts of the body. Once
metastasized, it is nearly always fatal.

Currently there is no cure for ocular melanoma.
However, there are promising new treatments on the horizon. These emerging
options will be made possible through funding. Unfortunately, funding is
critically low because ocular melanoma is considered such a rare cancer.
Therefore, awareness, funding and patient services are greatly in need.

The “Swing For Sight” event is open to the public.
It will include lunch then your choice of an 18-hole shotgun golf tournament
with hole-in one prize provided by Jimmy Vasser Dealerships, or an afternoon
wine tasting tour, followed by cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and awards
to raise funds for ocular melanoma research and patient services. All
participants will receive a “gift bag” filled by event sponsors.

Lunch begins at 11:30 AM. The shotgun golf start
begins at 1:00 PM. The wine tasting tour begins at 1:30 PM. Golf and wine
tasting are followed by cocktails then dinner at 6:00 PM. Attendance at the
“dinner only” is also a registration option. Various stations will be set up at
the event for supporters and sponsors to distribute water and other items.

“This is our first season hosting this golf and wine
tasting event. We’re looking forward to reaching our fundraising goals and
increasing future participation,” said Melody Kling, President, A Cure In
Sight™.  “With the help of Napa
businesses and community, we anticipate doubling event attendance in 2015.”
