Ongoing Seminar: Love Across Cultures

Every Tuesday, 3:30–5:00 pm, beginning February 18th: Facilitated by Nushafarin (Nushi) Safinya

The theme of Love permeates our emotions, spirit, and thought. But what is Love? How does Love arise? How is Love expressed around the world? Do cultural traditions affect Love relationships? Using the Shared Inquiry method, we will meet every Tuesday afternoon to examine this theme primarily through wide-ranging literary writings, films, and music. This free seminar is limited to 15 people. To sign up or for more information, please email robyn@shpl.org.

A native of Iran, Nushi Safinya has studied, lived, and traveled around the globe. Retiring after many decades of teaching at St. Mary’s College, she is presently residing in St. Helena with her husband, Thomas Brown. Her passion is facilitating discussion of the Great Books of western and eastern civilization.
