Napa Porchfest

Napa Porchfest is a seasonal favorite of music lovers, families,
and aficionados of historic architecture. This year, attendees can expect
another memorable summer afternoon featuring over 80 musical groups on 45 hosted porches around Downtown Napa and in nearby Alta Heights.

The free, non-commercial event will continue to feature a wide
variety of musical genres and acts – from delta blues, Spanish flamenco and
alternative folk, to more traditional rock, classical and straight up jazz.
Printed maps of participating porches and schedules of all featured acts will be available after July 1st at the History Center at the Goodman Library at 1219 First Street and at Wildcat at 1210 First Street in downtown Napa. They will also be available for download online at www.Napaporchfest.org.

While Napa Porchfest continues to grow in popularity each year,
organizers are committed to keeping the event neighborhood-focused and family-oriented.
“It’s been wonderfully popular and we’ve been inundated with requests to
participate – both by musicians desiring to play and homeowners willing to
host,” says Juliana Inman, Napa City Councilwoman and Porchfest co-founder and
organizer. “Ultimately we decided to limit the number of acts and venues this
year to keep it pedestrian- and bike-friendly.”

Attendees to this year’s celebration can expect some exciting
additions, like a “Food Truck Round Up” in the Library parking lot for those
pedestrians who become peckish en route. Professionally designed T-shirts are available
for sale at the Goodman Library and Wildcat.

Each host porch will have volunteers to help direct traffic and
provide directions. Those interested in volunteering can contact Lori Ann Dotson for
more details at ldotson@iaba.com.
