Celebrate the music of Neil Young and Crazy Horse Saturday,
February 1st with Sacramento-based group, "Tribe of The Red Horse". Much
more than a tribute or cover band, Tribe of The Red Horse reverently
delivers the guitar tone, harmonies, and raw energy that Neil Young and
Crazy Horse are known and loved for, or, as the band’s singer/guitarist,
Wayne Whitzell puts it, “We don’t play dress up. We play rock and
roll.”

Tribe of the Red Horse will perform two sets of material from Neil’s
iconic collaboration with Crazy Horse. The set list reaches deep into
the archives with a blend of feel good songs like ‘Cinnamon Girl,’ ‘Hey
Hey, My My,’ and ‘Old Man’ as well as Young’s more political songs such
as ‘Southern Man’ and ‘Rockin’ In The Free World.’ “We consciously chose
the ‘Live Rust’ album as the epicenter of the show because it is a
seminal moment for Neil and then we radiate backwards and forwards from
there,” explains Whitzell, ”We want to take a snap shot in time of
different eras and reproduce them with emotional accuracy.”

Throughout the performance the band also plays notable audio
clips from Woodstock and Martin Luther King to segue way between songs.
Says Whitzell, “We bring two blazing, full throttle sets of Crazy Horse
material. We have to shake the building’s foundation a little or it
wouldn’t be Crazy Horse!”
