Focus on Film: Waiting for Guffman

For December, Focus on Film is showing the mockumentaries of Christopher Guest.  This week’s film is Waiting for Guffman.  Community theater gets spit-roasted in this blisteringly funny mockumentary.  Christopher Guest plays the ultra-fey Corky St. Clair, a local theater impresario who takes his directing duties a little too close to heart.  His hopes of taking the production to Broadway hinge on the attendance of a very important guest.  1996; 84 minutes.
